Anna Bendrat is an Assistant Professor at the Department of English and American Studies at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, Poland. She is a member of a research group on Cognitive Poetics and her current research focuses on exploring the connections between classical rhetoric and cognitive science (metaphors, affects, text worlds) in contemporary American literature and media. She is a Board member of the Polish Rhetoric Society and editor of two open-access academic journals: Res Rhetorica and New Horizons in English Studies.
