P32 – Steven Dashiell

Steven Dashiell, PhD is a recent graduate of the Language, Literacy, and Culture Program at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). His primary research interest involves the relationships between masculinity, discourse, culture, and society, particularly in male dominated subcultures. He has presented his work at several conferences, including the Popular Culture Association, Lavender Languages and Linguistics, Eastern Sociological Society, and the American Sociological Association. Steven is an adjunct instructor in the Gender, Women’s and Sexuality Studies department of UMBC, where he teaches on issues tied to masculinity. He can be reached at steven.dashiell@umbc.edu
